Melodie McDaniel's Film Noir

Is just really beautiful to me. But, I don't know there is also something really odd about it that I can't quite place. In a way I really just don't understand what McDaniel was trying to do here. I mean, I'm black and I don't relate to these people in any other way besides the color of skin. I'm going to do some more research and come back to this.

Storm.

Today was an odd day. I had the usual arguments with the madre...went to over to my fake aunts house and met some new people. It was dreary and chilly. Its probably going to storm. I didn't wear anything special...but, I got some pictures anyway.

That picture of Cat Power just reminds me that I just got her biography, Cat Power: A good woman by Elizabeth Goodman, in the mail. I'm super excited.

I LOVE Cat Power by the way. Chan Marshall to be formal. Her music is always stunning and she's stunning and I would cry if I ever got to meet her.

I think it turned out rather nicely. The sky picture is just a nice touch, I think. I need to study for the ACT coming up, But, its spring break. damn.

My Best Friend.

My best friends name is Cathy. She and I went to goodwill today and I bought this cardigan thingy for like two bucks. She also drew this picture of me. Welll, now I have like a bunch of Physics homework to struggle through. Peace.

is pure unadulterated genius. The music is ace. Harvey Pekar's scratchy voice is surprisingly easy to listen to. The austic kid is fabulous, so is the black guy at the V.A. Hospital.
